"Recently, 1515 Market Street Philadelphia PA was the host location for an Over the Edge event as a fundraiser for Outward Bound Philadelphia. As the General Manager for this 20-story center city high rise building, there was trepidation when the idea was first brought to us for consideration. What if something goes wrong? We did not want to have that type of stigmatism tied to our building address. We worked closed with both Over the Edge and Outward Bound Philadelphia to review all of the logistics and our concerns in detail. We decided to jump on board and host the event. It was one of the best decisions ever made! The entire Over the Edge team was professional and really treated my building as if it were its own. The event was a complete success and Outward Bound Philadelphia raised over $158,000 for their organization. I can proudly say that I contributed to this fundraising effort and rappelled myself. I can’t wait to finalize the details for scheduling our next event."
"The Hyatt Regency Boston is proud to host the Special Olympics Massachusetts Over the Edge event. Not only is this event fun and exciting, it also helps to raise thousands of dollars for Special Olympics. The Over the Edge staff are professional, engaging, safety oriented and they instil confidence in everyone going over the edge. The impact that this event generates on the community, and on our relationships within the community, is priceless. We look forward to continuing to support this event in Boston and we highly encourage other properties around the country and the world to consider hosting this unique and community oriented event." "Working with Over the Edge for the Miami Children’s Initiative is a delight for the JW Marriott Marquis Miami and the charity. The professionalism of OTE staff was appreciated by all of our involved departments. From the pre-event planning to the day of the event, OTE was considerate of our hotel, guests and other events going on. Not to mention the tremendous job done to make all of those rappelling comfortable and confident. We look forward to working with OTE again next year.”
"In 20 years of fundraising in the non-profit arena, I had never seen any fundraising effort that more perfectly aligned with our mission," said Karen.
"On behalf of my husband (who submitted my name to "take a flying leap" off of the roof of the Bonaventure Hotel) and myself, we would like to thank you for hosting a most awesome extreme fund raising opportunity to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America and raise money for continuing its good works.
We would like to thank the members of the Rappel team from Canada who did such an incredible, thorough and professional job in making our towering descent so safe and memorable.
Dropping down 26 floors from the rooftop ledge of the Bonaventure Hotel can appear to be a terrifying challenge best left to daring souls in search of extreme adventure. However, the positive encouragement projected by the entire "Over the Edge" team turned our initial reluctance into a "can do" attitude and an eager desire to conquer the towering glass structure and realize a once in a lifetime dream."

"I'm delighted to report that Gaudenzia's Over The Edge for Recovery event at Silo Point Luxury Condominiums in Baltimore on September 15 was a wonderful success! Approximately 60 people went Over The Edge, and our participants enjoyed every single moment of the experience. The event attracted significant publicity from the media, including live feeds in the morning news from WBAL TV, as well as 98 Rock FM radio, which broadcast live from our spectators' area from 6:00 - 10:00 a.m. Two of the radio personalities rappelled, broadcasting live during their drops. Additional camera crews were dispatched from other TV stations, as well as the Baltimore Sun newspaper.
"Because we are first to market, we not only have a distinct advantage but an exclusive one in Missouri. Do you know how many golf tournaments are hosted each year right here in our state? Thousands - all competing for basically the same market share doing the same thing. This is unique, exciting, safe and open to everybody - able and challenged."

"Going Over the Edge was not only an innovative way to raise dollars for Special Olympics and bring new people to our movement – it turned out to be much about what at its very core Special Olympics represents. To start with, the quality of service offered by every OTE employee and the attention to detail in making sure each participant was handled with respect and integrity brought a sense of professionalism that was truly appreciated by everyone. The celebration and exhilaration when each repel was successfully completed was a powerful example of the human spirit that lives in all of us. I would say of all of the special events Special Olympics New Mexico has ever had, this was by far the best. The OTE/Special Olympics partnership turned out to be a great match, and we look forward to working together for years to come in creating new and exciting possibilities."
Randy Mascorella | CEO | Special Olympics New Mexico
"Over the Edge was absolutely amazing...a moment we will never forget, and an experience Luke will always remember. Luke faces challenges each and every day navigating the world. I sincerely believe Luke's "Over the Edge" experience made a significant difference in his life by giving him an opportunity to experience an 'extreme challenge,' proving to himself that he too can be successful, extraordinary and dare to dream the impossible. Luke walked out of the Manchester Grand Hyatt a proud, more mature and self-confident young man... His extremely proud parents walked away, once again, having re-learned a valuable life lesson...the importance of setting the bar high, taking risks, and having the courage and faith to challenge one's abilities."

"On the balcony of Meyners and Co. with you telling me stories of media day and me looking down a mere eight stories … I wondered what I had gotten myself into?! I felt the rumblings of fear, the voices of doubt, and finally Friday morning – the rush of fight or flight adrenaline. I was terrified and excited and so afraid – less of hurting myself and more of embarrassing myself with cowardice. But, I did it. With all of those smiling faces and words of encouragement and statements of surety from so many volunteers – I did it! I made it to the ground and people unbuckled me and unradioed me, while people I’ve never met yelled and clapped for me. And then, the sweetest soul put a gold medal around my neck…what a moment. I just sat on the curb and cried. There are people for whom this sort of feat might be no big deal, but it was for me, it was. So, thank you. To the OTE staff, your staff (SONM), and all of the wonderful volunteers – thank you, thank you, thank you for a new clarity of thought on just what courage means.”

“We were incredibly pleased with how smoothly Rappel for Roll Call went and how professionally it was handled by Over the Edge. The publicity generated by this one-of-a-kind event has been spectacular for our new high-rise building.”

"We are proud to have hosted the first fundraising rappel event of this kind in the U.S. The event was an exhilarating experience for our young alumni and a great way to raise money for Georgia Tech. All the participants were thrilled with the experience and eager to do it again.”
VP of Marketing Services | Georgia Tech Alumni
“There is no question that engaging the interest and support of young alumni requires innovation and excitement,” Bottoms said. “It is hard to imagine anything much more exciting that rappelling down the side of one of Atlanta’s tallest buildings to support Georgia Tech.”
David Bottoms | Class of 2001 | Georgia Tech
